An ozone laundry system adds ozone, a strong natural oxidizer, to your washing machine's cold water as it fills, so everyday soil and odors lift in cold water with far less detergent. The OxiOrg O³ mounts on the wall above your washer and treats the cold water on its way in. It turns on by itself with every wash, so nothing about your routine changes.
Inside, activated ozone teams up with magnetized water conditioning to wash your laundry cleaner, brighter and more gently. You get fresher towels, cleaner whites and softer wash water, with a fraction of the detergent you use now.
At a glance
- Cleaner laundry in 100% cold water: ozone lifts everyday soil and odors without hot water
- A fraction of the detergent: start at half your usual amount for the first few weeks, as we recommend
- No dirty detergent residue left behind to dull fabrics or stiffen towels
- Three ozone levels: High for towels, whites and gym clothes, Low for delicates, silk and linen, or Off
- Safe for colors, synthetics and delicates at the recommended levels
- Automatic: turns on whenever the washer fills and returns to standby when the water stops
- Leak detection with an audible alarm and automatic shutoff
- Self-regenerating air dryer: nothing to refill, replace about every 3 to 5 years
- Slim wall unit, 3.1" deep, that installs in about 15 to 20 minutes with no special tools
Which OxiOrg is right for you?
Both models use the same ozone levels (0 to 1.2 mg/L, High, Low or Off), connect to the cold line at 20 to 60 PSI, detect leaks and carry the same 1-year warranty. Here is where they differ.
| If you want... | Choose |
| The lower price and the slimmest profile (18.1" x 3.1" x 9.45") | OxiOrg O³ |
| An air dryer that regenerates itself, with no cartridge to buy | OxiOrg O³ |
| One vertical light bar for status, ozone level and leak alerts | OxiOrg O³ |
| Color-coded lights that show your ozone level at a glance (blue for High, green for Low) | OxiOrg O³ Pro |
| A dryer cartridge you change yourself, with side lights that turn red when it is time | OxiOrg O³ Pro |
| Both 1/2" and 3/4" inlet hoses in the box | OxiOrg O³ Pro |
| A unit that chimes at power-up and starts every wash on High | OxiOrg O³ Pro |
How it works: the technology inside
Ozone made and mixed in as you wash
Cold water flows from your faucet into the unit, through it and on to your washer. A flow switch senses the water and arms the system automatically, and a blue light confirms it is treating. The oxidizing module produces activated ozone, and a venturi in the water path blends it into the cold water on its way to the drum. When the washer stops filling, the unit goes back to standby.
Magnetized water conditioning
A magnetizer conditions the water as it passes through, for softer wash water. It keeps working even with ozone set to Off.
A built-in air dryer
Ozone generation works best with very dry air. The OxiOrg O³ has an internal air dryer that regenerates itself about two hours after your last wash of the day and runs for about four hours. Just skip the washer while the light flashes blue.
Oxidation: how ozone cleans
Ozone (O3) is an unstable form of oxygen with three atoms instead of two. That makes it a very strong oxidant: it reacts with organic compounds and breaks the chemical bonds that hold them together. Body oils, sweat and the compounds behind musty and sour smells are organic, so oxidation helps break them apart and lets the water carry them away. It is the same reason wastewater treatment plants use ozone for odor control. Ozone does not linger: it decomposes back into ordinary oxygen shortly after it is made.
Ozone and disinfection: the science
Ozone is also a recognized disinfectant in water treatment. It works by oxidizing the cell walls of microorganisms, and how much it does depends on ozone concentration and contact time. In your laundry, the OxiOrg O³ puts that same oxidizing power to work on soil and odors in cold water, for fresher laundry and a healthier wash experience.
Brighter colors
Leftover detergent builds up in fabric over time and can leave colors looking flat and towels feeling stiff. The OxiOrg O³ leaves no dirty detergent residue, and because you use much less detergent, there is less to build up in the first place. Washing in cold water also skips the heat that is harder on fabrics. The result is laundry that comes out cleaner, brighter and more gently washed.
Less detergent
With ozone doing much of the work, you can use significantly less detergent, or none at all. Start at half your usual amount for the first few weeks while old detergent buildup washes out of your fabrics, then cut back further as you like the results.
Cold water saves energy
Heating the water is where most of the energy in a hot wash goes. The OxiOrg O³ is built for 100% cold-water operation, so every load skips that cost.
Who it is for
- Busy households that run a lot of loads and want to stop heating wash water
- Anyone cutting detergent cost and residue, especially on towels and workout gear that hold odors
- Delicate fabric care: Low setting for silk, linen and delicates
- Most residential front-load and top-load washers on a cold line with 20 to 60 PSI and a grounded outlet nearby
Not for: hot water lines, drinking water, or commercial, laundromat or rental laundry. It still works in water harder than about 7 grains per gallon; a water softener or pre-filter gives the best results.

Common questions
What is an ozone laundry system?
It is a small unit that connects to your washer's cold water line and adds ozone to the water as the washer fills. Ozone is a strong natural oxidizer that helps lift everyday soil and odors in cold water, so you can use much less detergent and skip hot water. The OxiOrg O³ also conditions the water magnetically.
Does ozone laundry really work?
Yes, for everyday soil and odors. Ozone oxidizes the organic compounds behind many smells and dingy fabrics, and it does it in cold water. Use High for heavily soiled loads. For set-in stains, keep pre-treating the way you do now.
Does ozone disinfect laundry?
Ozone is a recognized disinfectant in wastewater treatment, where results depend on concentration and contact time. The OxiOrg O³ is designed to clean and freshen your laundry and support a healthier wash experience. It is not a substitute for medical or commercial laundry disinfection.
Can I stop using detergent completely?
Many households end up using very little, and some none. Start at half your usual amount for the first few weeks while old buildup washes out of your fabrics, then reduce further as you like the results.
Will ozone damage my clothes?
No, when you use the recommended levels. It is safe for colors, synthetics and delicates. Use High for towels, whites and gym clothes and Low for silk, linen and delicates. A faint fresh-rain scent is normal; if the smell is strong, switch to Low or Off and contact us.
Does it work with hot water?
No. It connects to the cold line only, and hot water can damage it. It is built for cold-water washing, which skips the water heating that uses most of a washer's energy.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
Most people do not. It hangs on a bracket above the washer, the supplied hose runs from your cold faucet to INLET and your washer hose moves to OUTLET. Plan on about 15 to 20 minutes with no drain, vent or new plumbing. You need 20 to 60 PSI and a grounded outlet within reach.
Is the treated water safe to drink?
No. Water from the OxiOrg O³ is for laundry only, not for drinking or cooking.
What maintenance does it need?
Very little. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth, check the hoses every few months and replace them every 5 years. The built-in air dryer regenerates itself daily and needs replacing about every 3 to 5 years.
